Afghanistan: emergency response at Torkham border crossing point

More than 400,000 Afghans left Pakistan in the past two months alone using the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings in Nangarhar and Kandahar, according to the International Organization for Migration.

So far, our emergency response teams have provided 300 learning kits to children, constructed 30 emergency latrines, delivered 10 water tanks, distributed cash assistance to 210 households, and treated over 12,000 people (mostly women and children) with critical healthcare services at the Torkham border crossing point.
