The Cake Campaign is an award-winning volunteer-led initiative, which has regularly trended on social media under the hashtag #Cakes4Syria.

The Cake Campaign aims to deliver delicious chocolate fudge cakes to people’s doors during Ramadan, a month when Muslims fast from dawn to dusk and give generously to charity as they remember those less fortunate than themselves. You can purchase the chocolate fudge cake for £12, with all proceeds are directed to Islamic Relief’s ongoing Syria Appeal.

Over 180,000 cakes delivered in 11 years!

Since 2013, The Cake Campaign has delivered 180,000 cakes – that’s over 2.5 million slices of chocolate cake! The campaign is a fantastic charitable cause for people all across the UK to get involved in. Whether you’re delivering cakes in your local city, buying a cake as a gift for a loved one or adding it as a delicious dessert to your Iftar with family and friends.

Since the conflict began, Islamic Relief has delivered more than £350 million worth of aid inside Syria and in neighbouring countries, assisting millions of Syrians across the region, SubhanAllah!

The idea is that you save a life with a piece of cake. It’s a remarkably ingenious and a tasty way to save lives.

This is an idea that came from the grassroots, from our volunteers, and the response over the years has been just fantastic. The teams of volunteers across the UK have done an amazing job helping to raise thousands for those affected by one of the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.

Key responsibilities include:

Loading, unloading and delivering cakes.
Managing delivery routes and schedules.
Providing an excellent services to all donors.
Ensuring any queries/incidents are correctly dealt with and logged.
When required, informing people of Islamic Relief’s history, vision and programmes.
Being an Islamic Relief ambassador and conducting yourself in the best manner at all times
Online weekly briefings must be attended by all volunteers.
