Bangladesh: Providing 161 students with glasses

Islamic Relief Bangladesh distributed vision glasses to 161 students in 10 in Thakurgaon.

The project was initiated with students from sixth to tenth standard (age range of 12-16 years). The expected outcome is to protect the rights of marginalised children through greater access to educational and developmental opportunities.

Islamic Relief is providing glasses to students on the advice of expert doctors of the Thakurgaon Palli Eye Hospital.

Abdul Hamid, Head Teacher of Milanpur High School, shared that due to low vision, students couldn’t concentrate on their studies and were unable to get treatment due to poverty. Therefore, he is grateful for Islamic Relief’s support.
