Water Trucking: Providing water in emergencies

In some instances, most commonly in the event of an emergency, where large groups of people have been displaced; access to clean water becomes an urgent requirement to support displaced families. In such scenarios, the most effective way to provide fresh clean water is through water trucks.

These trucks are driven from areas where there is water available, on a regular basis, to cover for short-term urgent needs. Water trucking sometimes continues for a longer period of time, until longer-term solutions are developed.

Water trucking is an emergency response in almost all environments, as long as a reliable water source is available nearby.

In many cases, the water provided by the trucks is lifesaving for those that benefit, as no alternative means of getting water is available.
