Sheikh Saalim Al-Azhari

Sheikh Saalim Al-Azhari is one of our scholars, who we work closely with to ensure content across our channels is purposeful and accurate.

Bio: Sheikh Saalim Al-Azhari

Sheikh Dr. Saalim Al-Azhari is a U.K based Sheikh with expertise in Islamic sciences in Hadith, Fiqh, Aqeedah, Seerah (Prophetic biography) and Hadith classification, including classical texts such as Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim.

He began his studies as a graduate from St. George’s Medical School, University of London in 2007.

However, his Islamic academic career took him to Egypt, where he where he obtained a diploma in Arabic rhetoric (Balagha) from the Egyptian ministry of education. Already a top-ranking student, he enrolled himself at the distinguished Al-Azhar University, graduating from the Thaanawiyah with a rank of excellence. He was awarded for his academic achievement, and later graduated in 2016 in the faculty of Shariah, with honours and the highest rank in his year.

Today, Sheikh Dr. Saalim Al-Azhari spends his time disseminating his incredible knowledge to communities across the UK, regularly performing the Khutbah (Friday Sermon) around the U.K.

He is a member of the British Board of Scholars and works closely with Islam Channel UK to publish a variety of lectures, sermons and reminders. Sheikh Dr. Saalim also creates and publishes his own content on platforms including his much beloved YouTube channel, At Home with the Azharis. Here, he and his family answer questions facing the Muslim community and provide an engaging and accessible educational resource for the global Muslim community and beyond.
