Planning response

An earthquake of magnitude 6.4 occurred on the night of 3rd of November 2023, with several aftershocks occurring thereafter.

Its epicentre at Ramidanda in Barekot Rural Municipality-1 of Jajarkot district of Nepal.

The earthquake has resulted in over 153 deaths with 364 people injured.

11 districts have been affected, of which Jajarkot and Rukum West were the worst affected. Several houses, mostly those belonging to the poor and built of rocks and mud, were destroyed.
